Samples e-mail writing to a friend about my school

 Dear Steven,

I am in the fifth form. Our classroom is on the second floor of the school. There are twenty-one desks in the classroom and two pupils sit at each desk. The teacher’s desk is in the front of the pupils’ desks. The blackboard is on the wall to the left of teacher. The chalk and the duster are in a box near the blackboard. There are four very large windows on the side of the room opposite to the door. We open the windows during the break between lessons. There are portraits on the wall over the blackboard. There are pictures and maps hanging on the walls in the classroom. There are lamps hanging above the desks. In winter it gets dark early so we turn on the light. We begin our lessons at 12.05. We have five lessons a day. We have a short 10-minute break between lessons, but we have a long 20-minute break between the second and third lessons. During the long break we go to the dining-room and have lunch. We finish our lessons at ten minutes past five.
Convey my regards to your parents.
Yours sincerely,
Alex

Dear Olga,
I want to write you about my future career.
I am a school-leaver and this year I am finishing school. When you leave school, you understand that the time to choose your future profession has come. It is not an easy task to choose the right job for you.
There are a lot of different professions and it is really hard to choose the one, which would be interesting for you and will help you earn your living. Generally, I think that choosing the right job is the main question not only for a school-leaver, but also for all the family.
I would like to become a teacher.
In my opinion, to be a teacher is not an easy task because you need not only to love children, but you also should have an ability to explain things clearly, know your subject profoundly and be an all around person. Though this is not the easiest task, I am sure that I have got almost all necessary qualities to become a really good teacher.
Nowadays it is very important to know a foreign language, especially English. More and more people need qualified teachers to teach them today. I understand that this profession is greatly demanded and that is why I would like to become an English teacher. This year I am going to enter the department of foreign languages at the local University.
I wait for the letter with impatience.
Best wishes,
Yana

Dear Ben,
Thank you for your recent letter. It was nice to hear from you. I hope you’re okay.
In your letter you asked me about exams. Well, I have chosen Biology and Chemistry. These are very interesting and informative subjects. I prefer oral exams to written ones because I can easily learn the tickets by heart and retell them. I also do some tests in these subjects. I can pass the exams well. In the evening I read my text-books until it is time to go to bed.
Actually, I have to stop now because I’ve got a lot of homework to do. Give my regards to your family. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,
Yana

Dear Emily,
Thank you for your letter. It was great to hear about your new house.
As for my new school it's very big! It has three computer rooms and wonderful sport facilities. Actually, it seems a nice place and I enjoy studying there. The kids in my class are very friendly.
I've already made some new friends and often meet after classes.
I've got only one new subject this year. It's Economics and I'm beginning to think that it's not difficult, after all!
By the way, what music styles do you enjoy? Have you got any favorite bands? Would you like to go to their concert? As for me, I prefer Radiohead. They are cool!
I'd better go now.
Lots of love,
 Ann

The myth of Jason

Ready to sail, on board the Argo

The ship's beams came from Mount Pelion in Thessaly and included a talking beam from the oaks of the Oracle at Dodona. From this beam, the Argonauts would receive advice during their long journey. After offering a traditional sacrifice to Apollo, the argonauts set sail for Colchis.
Maps - Jason and the Argonauts
In Colchis, the hide of a mystical flying ram hangs from the tallest oak, guarded by a dragon who never sleeps. The only way Jason can pry it from King Aeetes’ clutches and win back his promised throne is by facing three perilous tasks— without the help of the Argonauts. Unbeknownst to the king, his daughter Medea was plotting something. Iseult Gillespie shares the myth of the Golden Fleece. For more info and material to use in class go to

Teach your students in a funny way about wearing a mask and protect themselves and their beloved

Bill Nye the “Science Guy” has been teaching us practical science for generations. His viral (in a good way!) video demonstrates the effectiveness of masks by restricting airflow. As usual, Bill Nye’s video is engaging, fun, and informative, which is why this is one of the most popular mask videos for kids (and grown-ups) out there! Listen to the talking hand Simple but fun animation is backed with clear narration explaining how kids can keep themselves safe from coronavirus. This mask video for kids includes five quick tips like not touching your mask, making sure it covers your mouth and nose, and more. We really like this one for the elementary crowd. Sing the Wear A Mask song Doctors Bob and Pop sing a cute song that emphasizes that even though life is a little different right now, everyone is still the same behind their masks. It explains the basics of wearing a mask tightly over your mouth and nose. While geared toward the Pre-K crowd, early elementary kids will enjoy the catchy song too.

Wear a Mask: Help Stop the Spread from KidsHealth Videos on Vimeo.

This video put out by the World Health Organization (WHO) gives clear, easy-to-follow instructions on how to wear a mask safely. The animations demonstrate the tips, and also show a diverse population of folks using masks. It’s not an exciting video, but it tells kids (and adults) exactly what they need to know.

Back to school in cornavirus era

 The basics

While Covid-19 has changed the way we socialize, recreate and dine out of the house, it hasn't changed the most basic list of stuff kids need to do school right.
This means parents should stock up on staples such as pens, pencils, crayons, markers, paper, erasers and scissors — both for kids who will be learning from home and for those who will be learning from school.
Ashley Fry, a sixth grade math teacher at West Jackson Middle School in Hoschton, Georgia, recommended that kids who will attend any in-real-life instruction should keep these items in a washable pouch. She knows that sharing likely won't be allowed.
"Middle schoolers are known for forgetting supplies, which is normally fine because they just borrow from each other or from their teacher," she said. "Now, however, it will be potentially dangerous to do so with the current pandemic going on."

The new basics

Two other must-haves for school in 2020: hand sanitizer and face coverings.
While these items are more important for students attending school outside the home, they're important for virtual learners, too, since these kids will spend parts of their days out and about.
Students should buy or make 10 to 15 masks they are comfortable wearing, Fry recommended, so they can have two or three face coverings available every day. That's because masks can get sweaty or dirty, and kids need to have a backup mask, just in case.
"Having (multiple) masks will make it so parents don't have to wash masks each evening," Fry said.
